    vet visit went well

well i just got back from the vet and they looked awful hard to find mites or ticks and couldnt find any. which i guess is a good thing. they gave me some Ivermectin (3 ml) to mix with 500 ml of water to take care of the mites if they are still there. just to be safe. i am going to order some prevent a mite as well. i also had her stool sampled and that came back negative and the vet said she is doing great. her wieght is now 100 grams and 2 weeks ago she was only 70 G.

Oh that's lovely to have a clean bill of health and an obviously growing snake! We've never dealt with mites or ticks *knock wood*.

How did you store the stool or did you luck out and she pooped when needed? I was just going to call the vet tomorrow and ask what I should do about that if the snake poops days before the visit.

    Jo,

What I did was scoop it up, put it in a baggy, misted it and put it in the fridge. I misted it the next morning and next evening, and the vet tested the following day. Just keep it moist, and they will be able to see any eggs (or so said my vet! LOL).
