I think i overheated the rat a little. Because when you heat F/T the belley of the rat becomes really soft.

ha ha...most likely it will eventually. I had that happen once or twice when I fed f/t.
I won't complain about a few busted rodents....as long as they still get eatten

I let them sit out from when i get home in the morning from work at about 8am. Then at about 7-8pm i set them under a CHE for about 10-15min. After that i make sure that they are warm to the touch and heat up the head a little then throw them in the tank.

Yeah that is one reason i use newspaper because it is easy to clean the cage as long as they do their buisness on it.
