    Gravid female?

    Hey guys,

So I have female ball python who I have paired with my male and I have only seen one lock, but a few weeks later she has started laying on her side and the last couple of feeds she hasn't been interested and she has never missed a feed she been the snake that I give unwanted rats to if my others don't feed. I was wondering if there is any rules or way to know for sure if she is gravid? This is my first attempt at breeding

If you miss ovulation it can be hard to tell some times and she may just be building up to ovulation. Laying inverted and skipping meal are both good signs. Make sure you've got an incubator ready

Heat seeking and curling up in a near perfect circle. Mine tends to lay inverted a lot closer to lay.

Certainly you may have missed other locks. It typically will take more than just the one to say she already has eggs in her. She most likely is building follicles. Good luck.

She has been on her hot side a lot and I haven't really seen her out of her hide that much there was one week where she kept going under the paper to get to the heat. I have tried to feal for folical's via letting her go though my hands but I have never done it before so not sure what I'm feeling for lol like I said this is my first attempt at breeding. So if she is just building folical's is that her getting ready? I have researched so my but I think it's better to talk to people that have done it and have hands on experience.
