    Big Apple Enclosures?

So, I've been browsing around for a new and better home for Zuka. He's still a little guy but if I'm gonna spend some money, may as well get him something he can grow into and be comfortable in. Soooo, I ran into these enclosures that seem to be nice, and what's cool is you can basically build on to them. AND, stack and lock on to the others that you buy from them. Opinions?

My only concern here is that Big Apple is a drop shipper/reseller of almost everything they offer, including critters. For most equipment it's not a big deal but for caging I would want to know who the manufacturer is in case there is a problem and I need to have something fixed under warranty (assuming there is one).

I'd be interested to hear reviews of people who already own these. Definitely innovative and nice looking!

I trust Big Apple for NOTHING. They scammed me on a Miami Corn Snake earlier this year. Sent a classic instead. They were rude and very inaccurate. I posted on the BOI. Unless you get a clear-cut warranty, I would steer clear of them.

    Re: Big Apple Enclosures?

Without knowing anything about them, the cons I see are they are clear on all sides - not ideal for a BP imo. Also - the screen top makes humidity control difficult and prevents and RHP from being attached.

they are nice, but i go with this comment. Also if you happened to have an unhappy bp for whatever reason hes gonna be roaming around and rubbing on screentop

That was my thing, clear all around and the screen. Other then that, the prices look pretty reasonable. But, who knows what these things look like in person. They may be cheaply built.. look good from far, but far from looking good up close. Who knows. I'm going to a Reptile Expo in a few weeks, I'll keep an eye open to see if anything like this is there.

The large vertical enclosure is what I was looking at. 150.00$, can't beat that. And if I had to, I could get sheets of PVC or plastic and replace the sides and back to prevent the clear part. And, put a piece of plexi on the top. Wouldn't be that hard, being that these enclosures break down pretty easy. Which is also another issue. How easy do they break down? Could be a problem being BP's are escape artists. Just my opinion though.

Just buy an AP T3 or T8 for roughly the same price. Get a divider if the snake is still small. The large vertical would be a poor choice for a BP. Not enough floor space and unnecessary height.
