Cool Spot: steady at 85
As for the size of the cage, it's actually 4x1.5x1.5 but I read in a few places that large spaces can stress them out so I blocked it at the half so right now it's a 2x1.5x1.5. When it grows up a bit more he'll get the full thing
Ok I'm sorry. Maybe the others that have posted didn't notice, but your numbers are just way off. You need to cool the entire cage down. If you have an AMBIENT temperature of 90 degrees, then I'm sorry my friend, but you need to lower that. And a "cool side" of 85 is just too high. .. you aren't providing your snake with a proper temperature gradient.
90 degree hotspot. 80 degree coolside. If you keep those numbers, the overall ambient will be perfect... your snake may be climbing to find a cooler temperature. Your cage is hot bro

So the temperature sensor was all the way up next to the heat source after relocating it closer to the ground it's reading 85 which I believe is correct. The hot/cool spots I read with my infrared thermometer so that is what it is. I'll put a dimmer and try to lower the output of the bulbs. Thanks for the heads up, still learning!
