    New: Looking for Recommended Breeders/Sellers

(New here, and I'm hopefully posting in the right place). I'm looking to buy an additional amphibian and reptiles. I've been looking around on the internet for a good breeder, but most of the options I've found have poor reviews and horror stories which is making me extremely hesitant to order from there. I am not looking for a rescue animal, and unfortunately there aren't any reptile events happening any time soon in my area (at least, not to my knowledge). My local pet store is more jack of all trades when it comes to animals and supplies, but they have a shallow selection unfortunately. Are there any captive breeders out there that you guys recommend?

What amphibian or reptile are you looking for? There aren't going to be good breeders who breed twenty different species of reptile to choose from. You need to focus on a species and start research from there.

Go through the classifieds here. Lots of reputable quality dealers here.

Go to the FaunaClassifieds.com Board of Inquiry, and in the search box for the forum enter the type of critter you want to purchase. You should find both good and bad reviews.

Re: New: Looking for Recommended Breeders/Sellers

I'm looking for axolotls, fire belly newts, red eyed tree frogs, red eared sliders, crested geckos, or an anole. I'll check out the board of inquiry thing, thanks for pointing that out for me.
