    Darn these Ball Pythons.

Its been a while so hello again,

So damn finiky. My female Andromeda has not eaten in 6 weeks. She shows no interest. She has not been a strong eater since i got her. I try feeding her 1 live small rat every week (please don't get on the live VS dead stuff its been argued to death). And nothing. She has lost aproximately 300 grams in the past 6 weeks here it is the 7th week and still no eat. I am not to worried about her weight but she has lost alot of fat in her sides and is looking rather thin not sickly thin but thinner then i am used to. Any suggestions?

My big guy Freckles is a hog as usuall and is baffling me on how big and long he is getting nearly 5.5 feet long and pegs my 3500 gram scale so still estimating at around 4500 grams and sheds about once a month. Pictures to come soon.
    Thanks,
    Damien

Have you tried feeding some adult mice to the female or do you always attempt rats?

Hey, Sorry too hear about that. Try splashing some chicken soup to the head of the rat before. I know that sounds funny but my brother had some what of the same problem and was ready to have is snake force fed when a breeder friend of ours told him to try it. Well it worked, it took about 10mins before his snake finally took it but the point is that he ate.

    SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It worked. She ate 1 mouse. I will try and feed her one more a little later. Damn these snakes are picky.

Congrats on the feeding. Sometimes a change in menu item will do the trick. I hope this is the start to a long trend of feedings.
