Hi i am knew to keeping snakes i have 2 ball pythons one in a tub and one in a tank both seem to be doing fine with temps and humity and eating great and no problem handling, the only thing is for my ball python in the tank yesterday i put cypres mulch from zoo med on the cold side on the hot side i have reptile carpet i plan to change it everytime he poops or pees there i have extra piece of carpet for that but it seems he didnt like the cypres mulch because sometimes he will sleep inside his cold hide but today when i checked on him he was outside his hot side on the carpet and he never does that i know it only been a day maybe not even a full day since i changed the cold side to cypres but could it be he didnt like it? Should i give it time im sure i should but i wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with this since i am knew to all this and the temps with the repti carpet and muclh seem to be good.
