    Re: Help with Heat

i use a 150w heat bulb in my 36"x24"x20" custom made wooden enclosure and it heats the whole thing up to perfect temps.
i dont know the dimensions of your 40 gal but if your using a 150w bulb, it should heat it.
    are you sure its 150w??

    Re: Help with Heat

are you using a screen top and is the lamp directly on it?
i dont know what else it could be unless in C.A. you keep your a/c really high.

    Re: Help with Heat

58 degress? damn you must live closer to canada then.
anyways all i can say is maybe place the lamp on the screen.
maybe after a few days the heat will accumulate and the tank will stay warmer.
