The other day I went to handle my ball python and just chill out with him on the couch. He came out and slithered onto my arm, when I went to sit down and put my fuzzy blanket on my lap and set him down on it he rubbed the side of his face on the blanket and then tried to bite it. He didn't really strike or anything fast just tried to bite a part of the blanket. This worried me so I stood up with him and he wrapped around my wrist real tight with his nose pointing straight down towards my wrist. Now he stayed like this as I tried to pry him off, with a little effort I managed to get him off and into his cage with no biting but I'm wondering if the blanket could trigger him to hunt? I fed him the next day since I figured he was hungry but still have never had this happen with any of my snakes before. I do own a dog and cat who hang out on the blankets but I've had him out before on the same blanket and he was fine. Was he just that hungry?
