    "Cross contamination"

Ok, more a question out of curiosity than anything: Say you're down with the flu, or got a nasty cold, or whatever-be-it nature threw at you this time ― Is there a possibility to pass that on to your snake through handling or whatever? I know most diseases can't jump species, but we all know how nifty those viruses behind colds are and how eager to adapt. After all cold exists in other pets too, like cats for example, and most snakes are known for having very vulnerable respiratory systems.

    Any word?

No, many viruses are species specific and while some have jump species a cold, bronchitis or any other ailment will not be caught by your snake.
