    Hatch Date

Quick questions about hatch dates. I know the standard time frame is between 55-60 days from lay date when incubated at temps of 88-90. I have also read that you can estimate hatch dates 105 days from ovulation. Just trying to get a gauge when my clutch should pip. I am at 103 days since ovi but only 48 days from when laid. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Apparently the ball python mother will curl around them in certain position when they're close to hatching.. Or when she's about to lay? Not sure. If you're incubating then..

The eggs dimple in when they're close to pipping right?

Go from when they're laid. Also predicting lay after prelay she'd is more accurate then from ovulation.

You go from laying date not ovulation there are too much variable otherwise.

If you are asking because you are worry and are thinking about cutting, do not until the first one pips. Also avoid candling too much to check on your eggs at that stage.

What temperature do you incubate at?

    Not always.

    Re: Hatch Date

I am not overly concerned-I was just reading some stuff that said you can count from ovi. I just wanted to know if that theory was accurate or not. I am at day 49 and they are incubated at 88.6. They just started to slightly dimple yesterday. I dont plan on cutting until the first one pips although I am dying to see what is inside.
