    Possible Problem with Hatchlings

    Two questions! Does this cord look twisted?

    Yes, it looks like the cord is wrapped around the yolk.
    The eye....... don't know there.

    I have a pewter that is missing an eye because he contracted an infection in it at this stage of hatching. Not saying this is what is wrong, but definitely something to look into.

    What did you do to handle the infection? I'm fairly positive it'll lose its eye, but I don't want the infection to spread.

    The vet prescribed an antibiotic ointment to go on his eye. It had to be used for quite some time. Through several shed cycles.
