No Poo??

OK, this isn't a great topic, but....

Bubbles arrived here on May 18th. At first she wouldn't eat, probably partly because I made a newbie mistake and put her rat in simmering water for a while to make sure it was completely thawed. More than likely, it was partly cooked.

I feed every Saturday evening. She ate her rat pups on 6/18, 6/25, and 7/2, then refused her rat on 7/9. On 7/14 I found her shed in the tank, all in one piece, so that may be why she didn't eat. I hadn't noticed her looking like she was about to shed, maybe because I usually don't see her out of her hide and I was extra busy that week, meaning the shakes didn't get handled.

Other than some urates the other week, she hasn't pooed. Is this something to worry about?

Oh, and another question. Callista weighed 93 grams when I brought her home on 6/25. She's on the thin side. Last weekend I finally got her to take a rat pinkie, and I tried again on Thursday but she didn't eat it. When should I try again?

Regarding the first animal they don't go on schedule they go when they need to and it depends on a few things, feeding frequency, prey size, whether the animal is growing or not, appropriately fed or not. The only concern should be if there is a bulge that does not go away which is rare.

For the second one you need to feed a bigger prey than rat pinkie, offer food once a week because if you offer too soon after a refusal it will only lead to more refusal. Finally if the animal is not feeding with consistency analyze if whether or not you setup need adjustment.

Will do, thank you. After reading the thread on getting ball pythons to eat, I think I may have messed up by checking on her too often instead of leaving her alone to eat.

There's no bulge on Bubbles's tail.
