should a ceramic heat emitter 100W be thermostated

Correct me if I'm wrong, and by no means am I a pro, but I have my bulb (I don't know how it differs heat wise) on a dimmer, and it seems to work well.

well i just went back to the bulb that CHE got extremely hot and smelled funny my dome is the white metal and ceremic top and is good up to 150w but i think ur suppose to use a cage style for those i took it out before something catches on fire

I use domes for che for night heat for my beardies and never have had a funky smell. Any heat source needs to be regulated. If your going to use a thermostat then you would need a dimming thermostat for bulbs and for che or any non light emitting heat source you can use on/off, pulse, or dimming.

Yea. I have my che on a thermostat. Seems to be doing good so far. With out is to scary
