    Power Outage prep

I read a post some time ago that mentioned using a cooler, cheap pillow cases (i.e. low thread-count) and shipping heat packs for temporarily housing snakes in the event of a power outage. Given our winters up here can get pretty cold, this seems like a rather prudent idea to me

What I am wondering though, is how many and what size air holes. With my carriers I generally go nuts with the air holes, but that seems like it would be counter-productive when trying to keep heat in.

The cooler I plan to convert is just your standard everyday model, approx. 12W x 9D x 10H. Any suggestions on the right balance between breathing air and heat retention?

I have two 3/16 holes on top of a 18x10x12. I place six males in there. It's been needed once or twice. I usally throw in two heat packs. I'll put some pics in my gallery.

Yeah, I put the pics in there. You could always close them with a small piece of tape, if you have to walk them to the car in it.
