Question regarding heat tape or Ultratherm under tank heater w/ Sterilite tub
I'm looking to make an 'incubator' of sorts for some of my inverts and just hava a question. My plan is to buy a somewhat large tub, such as a 66 qt Sterilite, and then attach the heat source to the back of the tub with aluminum tape. Then I was going to put styrofoam all over the tub to keep as much heat in as possible. My question is what would it be okay if I did that? Will the plastic warp at all? I'm planning to keep it around 75-89 at times. Also, even if I put layers of aluminum tape on the side with the UHT or heat tape, is it still safe to pu styrofoam over it?

Why not just get a Styrofoam ice chest?
To answer your question No it will not warp at regulated temperatures.

Can heat tape or UTH be placed directly onto styrofoam? If so, I didn't think it was able to for some reason. Thanks!

Why not? Again IF it is regulated.
Think about it, you can hold it right?
