One egg hasnt collapsed

Hello, I have two eggs left to hatch. One of them hasn't collapsed at all, it's day 57 and 3 out of 6 hatchling are out, another pipped poked his head out for a day or two then went back in, he hasn't been out since, it appears as though he drowned . My main question is, is it normal to not have an egg collapse at all? Should I try cutting it? The other egg has collapsed but it hasn't pipped yet.

I would go ahead and make a small cut.

Alright, I'll try when I get out of work. I've never cut before so I didn't want to hurt anything. Any tips?

I use tiny, very sharp sewing scissors that I clean with mild dish soap and then disinfect with F10.

Pinch the top of the egg between your fingers, keep the scissors horizontal, and just make a small snip across the top about half an inch long. I don't like to let the scissors enter the egg.

Great! I'll pick up some surgical or sewing scissors. Unfortunately, since it hasn't collapsed yet, I don't know if I'll be able to really pinch anything.

Not all eggs collapse during incubation however if one does not and babies start to pip out it is safe for you to cut that specific egg and it can be done even if it has not collapsed.

Well I came home and the collapsed egg pipped! I still had to cut the one that has not collapsed yet and it looks healthy and alive! Thanks for the advice!!
