    Question Pastels or Super pastels

Taking a poll, what do you see. I will try to post more/better pics upon request.

    04F50

    04F51

    04F52

    04F53

    04F54

    04F55

The reason I am posting this poll is because the sire is a "lemon blast" and dame is a "normal".
To me 04F54 and 04F53 both look like "killer blasts" which would tell me the dame is a pastel not a normal. I'm getting off topic a little, anyways... What do you think?

Thank you all. Could I ask why you say they look like Lemon Blast's and not Killer Blast's. I mean, what are the determining factors of that decision? Please don't say because the same is a normal, cause that are some great outcomes of 7:8 having pastel in them.

You oculd just post the parents so we could figure out if the dame was a pastel or not.

Killer blast hatchlings would not have so much orange on them and their blacks would be lighter. They will darken after a few sheds.

This is a album of the clutch in question. She is 10+ years old she was "8 to 10 years old" when I got her. the previous owner said she was a normal, but he also called a lesser a pastel.

Just looked at the pics and she looks like a good mom normal. The supers tend to have a lot more blushing on the head and throughout the markings. You will have a varying degree of differences between babies and some can fool you a bit. But mom is for sure not a pastel so supers and killers isn't a possibility. The babies all look great though. Congrats.

Thank you. I just didn't realize there could be that big of a difference. So in my ignorance I thought maybe she was a very poor quality pastel who lost most if not all her yellowing and blushing. Thank-you again for explaining this to me.

Thank-you. The last neonate from this clutch hatched out the other day, it was a pastel as well.
