    Another Super Stripe Complex Question

If a Highway is bred to a Puma could the offspring other than the ivories be correctly identified or would it be a total mess and I would not be able to positively identify anything visually?

Yeah because all you could possibly get are highways, pumas, ivories, and gravel sparks which all look different to my knowledge. You're putting a super to a super which all fall in the same complex so you only really have 4 possible outcomes. The key to identifying morphs is research and learning to recognise the charactristics of each morph. As similar as the yellow belly complex alleles are, they all have differences that can be picked out by the trained eye.

Yeah. I am worried about telling the difference between a highway and a spark X gravel. I'm wanting to find something in the complex to put my highway boy to. I already have an nice ivory. I am having a heck of a time acquiring a highway female anywhere near breeding size, so I figured a puma would be the next best thing. The bel stuff i know. All this yellow belly stuff still looks very similar to me. I am partially color blind though so others may see things I do not.

A spark gravel actually looks similar to a super stripe so you'll be able to tell the difference.

Yeah, I saw that. Appreciate it. Hope you are right. Just a little out of my comfort zone with these guys.

No worries, i think you're just over thinking it, especially with that pairing. If you have any questions you could always just post pictures of your clutches and let the forum identify them for you xD
