    Weird season for anyone else?

    Hey!

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having a really weird breeding season. Two of my girls went a month late, and one of the clutches clearly was bad, but the other one was laid last night and looks pretty okay. I have another female that'll be a month late in a couple days. My pinstripe female shed twice and might lay soon if she's going to. It seems really late to me. Last year the two females I bred laid in april and may.

As a little aside, does anyone know what might cause a female to be eggbound? My cinnamon, the one who laid a month late with the bad clutch, kept an egg. We're going to try to drain it so she can pass it because it's pretty big, but I'm just curious what might have caused this.

I have three females that are late this year for no apparent reason. Aside from one boob egg the clutches that have been laid look good. My first clutch for the season is supposed to hatch on the 28th so I am keeping my fingers crossed. As to the egg bound issue someone with a little more experience needs to address it.

Unless I missed them, I've haven't even had any ovulation yet. There is only one out of four females which I thought ovulated, but now I'm not sure. Since the date that I thought she went (the 7th) I haven't seen any sign of her acting like she is gravid. She is not hugging the heat at all and actually is still bowl wrapping. So my season is going to be incredibly late.

Right on target here, higher number of eggs per clutches compare to previous season and hardly any infertile eggs....so far a great season.

Had a pastel girl lay 5 seemingly perfect eggs all without veins aside from that nothing strange.

Nothing here and my female is back on her feeding schedule. I saw a number of locks with my butter and pastave, spider, and bee. No luck this year, but there is next season. I just can't wait for my pastel het clown fem gets big enough for the male pastel het clown, and my pied girl another year or so.

I only did 2 pairings this year, both females produced 2015 clutches as well. One laid 10 days earlier than she did last year, the other laid 16 days later than she did last year.

Yeah I recieved a 11 egg clutch but non of them had any veins in them. The first clutch pipped for me last week and I got 3 normals out of 4 eggs. So yeah pretty bad/wierd year for me

Re: Weird season for anyone else?

My bumblebee laid 6 eggs and only one was good out of that clutch. And my pewter girl did lay about 2 weeks later than I anticipated.

Looks like my gal is about two months late...but I have high hopes for some good eggs in about a month!
