Flexwatt Max Operating temp?

Just wondering if anyone knew the hottest it can safely get without burning out if its at that long term or posing a fire risk. Its run with foil tape underneath like usual and the temps are as follows:

Tape Surface: 99
Basking Surface: 84
Cool Side:77

Im aiming for a basking surface at 90 but in order to do that the tape will probably need to be around 105. The website says max temp for the tape is 95 but that seems really low and possibly just a liability suggestion? I dont want to burn it out by running too hot but Im also trying to get proper temps in my tubs.

It'll get hot enough to kill snakes and melt tubs. Doesn't mean it should.

I know that, but like any electrical wire theres a point at which if its run long term it will burn out. Thanks for pointing out the obvious though...

Since we're stating the obvious...I assume you posed this question to the manufacturer or the distributor and haven't gotten an answer right.. I mean I can only assume since it is something you're concerned about you won't want to take the word of someone other than the company that designs, fabricates, tests and distributes the product you're asking about...

I have a couple Show Cages that have 12" Flex A Watt running at about 120 degrees and have been that way for close to 4 or 5 years.
As long as your are regulating them all should be good.
Also remember the temperature you want to monitor is UNDER all substrate.

Yeah I use my temp gun on the bottom of the tub and with my thermostat it stays an even temp. I moved it up after reading your post to about 105 and the basking surface is at a perfect 90 with the cool side maintaing the same temp as before so it should be good now. Thanks!
