    Normal Feeder Prices?

How much is a fair price for feeders?

Where I live there is no feeder breeder that is local. (the closest is about 40+ minutes away)

Pet stores charge $2.99 for weanlings and very, very young adults.. (and some stores have adults for $6.99)

What is normal prices for feeders?

Depends on the area and type of feeder.

Rats around my area are from $0.25 for a rat pinky up to about $1.25 for a small rat.
Keep in mind this is NOT box store pricing. I try to keep my pries about the same as the other rodent breeders around me.
Mice are a different story. I pay anywhere from $1.00 to $3.99 per mouse depending if I have to go to a store or private breeder.

Prices I've seen range from $5.00 per feeder regardless of size to about $4.00 for a Jumbo down to $0.25 for a chubby. Just depends if its a retail store (massive over head) or a direct breeder transaction.

There is a pretty big difference from one supplier to the next. Most price discrepancies are due to sizing opinions so it can be tricky to compare. The average around here is probably in the neighborhood of:

    -- Mice --
    $1.00 pink through adult
$1.50 larger adults through retired breeder

    -- Rats --
    $1.00 pinks
    $1.50 fuzzy through pup
    $2.50 weaners
    $3.00 small
    $4.00 medium
    $5.00 large
    $6.00 jumbo
