    Pet Smart Prices

I went to my local petsmart to pick up somethings for my newcoming BP. I had some time to kill, so I asked If i could see the "premium assorted ball python" (AKA a lemonblast). I handled for a good 20 minutes. He was the sweetest thing ever! Believe it or not, he's not even head shy! However, I would've picked up him and put him in a temporary enclosure if it wasn't for the price. 350!!?? Are you kidding. I'm waiting for the employees to put the PetPerks on him (AKA discounts). I hope he gets below 250 ish. He was really skinny too.

    Re: Pet Smart Prices

Remember, that $350 dollar price you're waiting for the employees to put on sale is helping pay those employees to do just that (among other things). Retail store prices will always be higher than hobbyist prices, and it's not a bad thing.

My local PetCo (which i realize is, for all intents and purposes, the same as PetSmart, except i hate the manager of my local PetSmart) often has 1/2 off reptile sales - sooo tempting, but honestly they rarely have anything that interests me enough to piss off my wife with another snake

    Re: Pet Smart Prices

A pet smart near me had a premium assorted bp for $350 but I wasn't sure of the morph, all I remember was it was all white with a light blue only above the eyes. Then they had a super premium bp that was a pied with almost no white for $450.

Sellers don't set prices, buyers do. If no one buys at $350 the price will go down. If customers are screaming SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY at $350 then the price will go up.

Why don't you just buy one from a local hobbyist ?
