Laminated paper makes cheap diy dry erase boards and can be cut to size.

Re: Breeding Organization
Haha no problem. Brain farts happen.
I suppose you could also get chalk board paint and paint on mini chalk boards on the front part of your tubs too.
I might do that this time around with my critters. The mini dry erase boards sometimes get knocked off and stuff...

Are you using the cement mixing tubs? If you're using anything clear or light colored and smooth you can just use a permanent marker to draw out lines and areas for info and then just use a dry erase marker for the info you'll need to wipe off or change with litters or moving adults.

I label tubs by letter and enter the info on a spreadsheet app. that way there is no limit to the amount of information I can keep track of per cage, there is no worry about labels getting misplaced or becoming ineligible, and I have access to the records everywhere I go, just in case.

For mice I use a chalk pen and write the number of babies produced on the tub as well as litter number (knowing that when they produce litter #5 they retire)
For Rats I write the number of baby produced, if under 10 they are retired one the babies are fed off.
