Question Anyone know the type of BP? New to snakes :3

Hi there everyone, i recently bought my first snake, a ball python. I know about some of the different types of ball pythons, but have not been able to identify what this little guy is, any help would be appreciated. I am about to replace his paper towels with a coconut husk and cyprus mix. Any thoughts on that? Any quick suggestions or thoughts for someone brand new to snakes would be a great help!

    Thanks so much!

P.s. Mods, if i did anything wrong please don't kick me, first post :3

It's a normal ball python. Welcome to the world of ball pythons!

    Edit: corrected spelling.

Thanks so much! I just didn't know if the patterning on the tail meant anything, it looked different then a normal ball python. I am really excited! His name is Kaa just like in the Jungle book ( i know he is not a indian rock python, but, i like the name )

Paper towels/newspaper is just fine for substrate. Oh and that's a sharp little normal you have there. Welcome

Welcome, and I second the paper towel comment. I think that is a great substrate to start out with. It will help you learn when and how your bp will past waste. I only quit using paper towels because I went to a larger enclosure and now use kraft indented paper.
