How do you wash a BP?

I'm a pretty new snake owner and I was just wondering what is the proper way to do it. I was feeding Severus this morning and I noticed one of the mice looked a little odd. I didn't pay too much attention to it and offered it to him. He struck it and it exploded everywhere. It got all over his face. It smelled pretty foul and took a while to scrub the smell out of his tub and hide. I only wiped his head off with wet paper towel but I saw him rubbing his face on the sides of his tub a few times. I figure he could still smell it. Is there anything else I should do to clean him up a bit better?

I give all my gals a soak in 32qt sterilite bins you buy at Target once every couple months or if they make a mess. I just put enough lukewarm water in there to just cover them and then put them in there and let them hang out. They seem to actually like it but not all snakes like baths. If the snake is dirty with food or poop on her, I just use a paper towel and rub them down. I don't use any soaps or anything, just warm water.

If I have to wash a snake, I simply wipe it down with a cloth that I damp in chlorexedine solution.
