That is indeed a spot where the scales came off. What is your humidity and temp? Anything sharp she could have rubbed on? Any history of ticks or mites?

Oh wow. Well that's something I've never seen before. The scales that came off aren't damaged? Can you show us the back of those scales?

I wish i had more info for you. I'm sure someone more experience will be here soon. I can't wait to hear what that is.

Call the seller and tell him. The scales are not going to fully grow back, but the snake will be fine as long as this was injury based and not somehow disease based. There is going to be a scar there. It could have also been a rat bite that got a little infected and lead to the scales coming off. Hard to know exactly since you haven't had him long.

    Re: white spot no scales

It looks like some sort of injury that is healing up. I purchased a proven female a few years back that has a scar like this on her back as well. It has never impacted her one single bit - to the point that she even gave me 11 good eggs last season. Here she is today:

Just keep an eye on it. If she takes a turn for the worse (it looks raw/infected/etc), then seek a vet's advice. If not, then I'm sure she'll live a nice happy life like any other BP would.

    Best regards,
    Eric

What you see can be comparered to a scab in human. The tissue healed (I don't see swelling, oozing or redness) however there will never be scales there ever again, which is only a cosmetic issue.

Some import often show this type of white scaring that lack scales.
