paradox breeding
can you breed paradox? say you have a pastel but has banana paradox on it and you breed it to a normal would u get genetics from both ?

Re: paradox breeding
You can breed them but you'll most likely to get just regular genetics. Paradox is a non-genetic anomaly in the gene code.

so you think the dominate gene will show.

Is there such a thing as paradox that shows Banana on a regular Pastel? All the paradox I've ever seen was more like a spot where part of the markings or color had a 'hole' in it, as it were, so that 'normal' showed through. I suppose if it were a banana pastel, and it had a paradox that made a 'hole' in the pastel so that part was just regular banana without pastel in that one section, or a 'hole' in the banana so that it just showed regular pastel in that spot there, that the offspring could be normal, pastel, banana, or banana pastel, plus factoring in the potential influence of whatever it had been bred to. But I don't think you could have a regular pastel with just a spot of 'banana' on it. Then again - I don't now much about it at all, so there's a good chance I'm wrong.

Re: paradox breeding
I didn't actually mean banana I was just making a point go look at skittles the ballpython on google

Wow...Skittles is amazing.

skittles is a once in a lifetime kind of animal to produce. I can only imagine how exciting it would be to work with the genetics in an animal of that calibar.
I recently saw this snake which seemed relevant to this post. Not sure if it is real but is definitely a looker.

Think of Paradox as a glitch in the matrix. Paradox can happen to any pairing and may never happen again in the snake's lifetime.

I can't speak to bps but in boas, if you have a paradox, it (normally) acts as a het.
