Pics of all of my enclosures

Here are some pics of my new setup. I have them all in my "herp room." The people who built this house 100 years ago thought "we'd better put in a dining room, to eat in!" But the only things that eat in here today are my snakes!

First off is Goblin's awesome cage. It was made by someone and I bought it for $50 a few years back. Atop it, is a rubbermaid that houses one of the rescue BPs I got last month, "Bulemia" is his name because he does not want to eat. :/

Next to it, is Bela's cage. She is in a 20 long tank with pegboard lid held in place by bungees. Her stand is a bit oversize, but I will be making a new one shortly out of 2x4s. So Bela kinda lives in the ghetto for now. You can see the side of the 10g tank that houses my horned frog Benny (yes it is sitting on a vintage Fender bass amp!)

Next to her, is Apache's 55g long tank. It is probably my best looking setup visually.

On the other side of the room is Lil Guy, the other rescue case BP. (there were three and my friend has the third. This little guy eats like a monster!!!) He is by a window, but it is not drafty and the backdrop shades him from the sun, which only really hits that area for a few hours each evening before sunset.

And last off is Ashes. His cage was given to me for helping a friend move last year!

Umm I really hope you dont play the guitar while your snakes is in that cage, and where are the heat sources on some of them? But anyway looks like a good setup!

How do you attach the bungees to the tank? I really need something better than duct tape to secure my snake enclosures!

I buy bungie cords that are long enough to wrap all the way around the tank.

I don't think a tank lip provides enough "to hook on to" securely to keep the lid on.

bungie cords! just solved our worry about the lid clips on the Rubbermaid being strong enough (gotta love this forum)

Lovely room, bet those are happy critters and if I didn't post it before.....kudo's to you for taking in 3 rescues, that's got to be a lot of extra work, good for you!

joanna and mike, dont worry about using binder clips on a Rubbermaid they work just fine. I used them in my old setup and were very easy to deal with and worked great.
