I just picked up my new Leachianus gecko at the Hamburg reptile show today. She/he (still too young to tell but probably a female) is about 5-6 inches long with some nice size. My enclosure is 33"x12"x17". My temps are around the 72-75°F range, but I keep having trouble maintaining humidity. My problem is that it seems too high. I'm using cypress mulch as a substrate and the enclosure itself is all glass. (I know probably not the best material to use). I have a glass lid on the tank with felt pads on the outer rim of the tank to create ventilation. The humidity keeps going up to the mid 80s without forming condensation. Is it ok for the leachianus to live in these parameters? Thanks for any info.
