    Western Hogsnose Pics

Well I now have a awsome pair of Western Hognose snakes. I met up with another BP.net member today outside of austin and we did a snakeswap. I thought I would snap a few pics of them tonight.

Here is one of the female she was not willing to work with me.

Here are a few of the male he wasnt willing to work with me either but he could be bribed hehe.

    Re: Western Hogsnose Pics

I am going to end up getting one of those guys one day I know of a CB hognose breeder here in LA that usually has some available.

I have a few questions about them:
Do they really loose their instintive defence mechanisms(puffing and playing dead) when the are captive? How are they to handle and care for?

The male above is a little thin. He should be eating much larger prey items than pinkies.

Western Hogs are very easy to care for....as long as you get an established feeder, you'll be fine.
