    Higher humidity = more active???

Through some trial and error I've finally got a good grasp on the in tank humidity. I have an aspen shaving base, but have lined the tank with dampened moss in about 2/3 of it. Specifically in between the hides, around the water bowl, and in the front corner on the cool side. There is a red heat lamp over the center and the cover is foiled over 2/3 - 3/4 of it.

My humidity has been more consistently over 50%, and has stayed in the 55-65% range more often. Right now it is showing 68% and I dampened 2 hrs ago.

I've noticed that when the humidity is up at night, he seems to be more active. Is there any scientific or other basis for this? Or is it a coincidence?

He's probably up more at night because BPs are nocturnal. I doubt the humidity has much to do with it, although I'm sure it doesn't hurt.

They like to roam at night time and I wouldn't be surprised if he's romping through his waterbowl getting everything wet. Sometimes mine will do that and it can cause humidity spikes
