    Getting a JCP

Hi I'm picking up a 6' JCP tonite. He is very tame and feeds well. Also is coming with a custom cage with heat. I'll try and get some pics as soon as he gets settled in. Right now I have balls and corns. Can you give me any pointers or info. I think I've read everything so far on the web about them.

Nice deal - shame you get to miss out on all the juvenile nippiness!

Mine are still wee lil tykes - so any advice I might have would be well beneath that fella's usefulness unfortunately. What is it feeding on? I know they are a lot less . . "dormant" than balls when handling - very mobile snakes nor as slow and deliberate as balls. Tell u smore tell us more!

The majority of young carpets are little devils.. Your being that bi g menas you probably get a pretty tame one if the previous owner handled it at all...

    Re: Getting a JCP

There are a lot of misconceptions about young JCP's being nippy. True they are more prone to nippiness (that a word?) than your BP's or BCI's but I have yet to actually come across a nippy one young or old. My baby is very docile as are those of my friends. So either we all lucked out or they get a bit of a bad rap.
