    Lighting

Just wondering , I have a red heat light that I keep on all the time, is this a good idea or is it affecting the day and night cycle ?
Should my BP have total darkness at night.
    Thanx

If your BP is hiding in it's hide, the light shouldn't bother it.

I've even heard it argued a few times that ball pythons can't see light in the red spectrum. Not sure I totally buy into that, but I'm also not sure I don't...

Don't worry about the red light. BPs can't the color red.

Slim, here's the research that I always reference. Check it out and judge for yourself.

I have a red heat light too, it doesn't bother him in the slightest (since they are virtually blind to red light).
