i acquired this boy from a friend of mine. he said he got him at a petshop as a normal. after looking at him he has a clear belly he has tracks and long connecting pattern on his tail. to me this looks like a het. pied. unfortunitly i dont know the pairing that produced this boy. i know i wont be able to tell till i raise him up and breed him but what do you guys think?

The pied markers are only worth looking at in known possible het clutches. Tons of normals have the markers that's why they aren't always an indicator even in possible het clutches. Given it was sold as a normal and is a male, I wouldn't even bother proving out. Pied males are pretty cheap and a het male would cost just as much as a normal

    Re: possible het pied?

Sure those are Pied markers but with the price of visual Pied or even Het Pied why would you waste time breeding a possible male.

You can find 100% Pied from reputable breeder for $30, last year I even gave mine away.
