Re: One and a half year old snake, 50 grams?

Hey guys, I know I haven't posted in awhile and stopped coming on when the problem was solved but Pip Is huge now, currently around 700g. I can't get a picture up (no computer) right now and my Chat on is having network errors. I'm so pleased with his growth, he's now midway through medium rats and will be onto large rats soon.

I'm so grateful for all the help you've all given Pip, he's truly doing well and if his brain had capacity to feel gratefulness, he would too. He's currently exploring my room, if you're curious.

Mediums are more than he should be feeding and large would be overfeeding.
One small every 7 to 10 days is plenty.

I agree 100% all of my snakes get small rats and if anyone refuses my big chunks will take that extra if they want it lol. But I'm glad to hear that your little guy has grown into a big boy! It's always awesome to see them progress over time

    +1 to Alex and Pit.
I don't give our boys anything bigger than a small, and they still put on weight fine. In the case of Mr. Bubbles, a little too fine. He's now pushing 1600 at just under 3. Upside is his breeding drive is strong.
Our girls, I'll offer a medium rat now and then if they seem to be growing a little slow (we aim for 500g a year for our girls for their first 3 years, so if a 2 or 3 year old is lagging behind but eating steady, I'll bump a meal for them once a month or so) or if we're trying to encourage ovulation.
