    Adult Male Fasting

Jynx has been off food since the end of November, and this is normal for him but I just wanted to know when I should worry about his weight. During the first month of his fast he gained about 50g and was weighing 2349g as of December 10. Tonight I weighed him and he weighs 2313g, a loss of 36g in a month. When should I worry about the weight loss? How much is too much in a month?

He is still looking healthy not skinny at all, when he was eating, he slamming anywhere between 150-200g of food a week, so he probably could be okay. I just worry a lot. (Side note, I'm going to offer him food again this coming Thursday and I'm using this fast to attempt to get him back on f/t rats.) Last year he fasted about 5 months.

No you shouldn't worry he is fasting to catch up 200 grams of food a week is WAY TOO MUCH food especially for a male. (I dont even offer that much to 3500 grams and over females)

If you want him to start eating with more consistency offer smaller preys 80/100 grams every 7 to 10 days.

Adult BP are overfed while they can eat that much does not mean they need too.

It could honestly take a year for him to resume feeding.
