    2 snakes in a T8?

I have read this can be done, but I'm curious as to whether or not anyone is actually doing it. I have one young bp now, with plans of getting another down the road. I have been looking at the T8 from AP, and the idea of being able to keep both snakes in it sounds appealing to me. I would have the divider in it, obviously, and I'd probably have the flexwatt in the center, with a 40w RHP on both sides for my ambient temps. I currently have a female, and my next will likely be a male. If keeping two in one of these enclosures is a bad idea, I may re-think my choice of enclosures.

    Thank you.

I have my 2 kings and 2 carpets both in divided T8s. The kings will be fine in them for the forseeable future but the carpets will eventually be in individual enclosures. I think the divided T8 will be fine for at least a year.

I should add, my current snake is a ball pyton, and those are the snakes I'm referring to in this post.

Yep. T8 works pretty well for two BPs. The only issue I have using RHPs and UTH is when the RHPs are on (when the room is cold), they tend to overheat the hotspot since the thermostat on the UTH doesn't read the heat coming from the RHP. If I did it again, instead of centering the RHPs on each compartment, I'd put them offset to one side so they can either set the hot side temp or the cool side temp with the UTH heating the hot spot.

You really don't need the UTH when running a RHP. I have my male BP in a T8 just using a pro products RHP controlled by thermostat and it works perfectly.

I wasn't sure. My winter months are cool and my house stays around 65. I figured it was beer to have it and not need it, than to not have it and need it.

    Thank you.

We have our two males in a divided T10 with a 40W RHP off set on each side; perfect sheds and both snakes are eating fine and are quite healthy. Both of them are just over a year old. The bee has her own T10 with a 80W RHP on one side; again, perfect sheds and she's good and healthy. Next up will be another T10 for our normal with the same set up as the bee. Everything is controlled by a Herpstat 4.

So much easier to clean/disinfect; no more fighting humidity/misting or burned out bulbs.

    Re: 2 snakes in a T8?

It can be done just remember that you should however have a quarentine period for the new snake, quarentine in the same enclosure with a divider is not quarentine, but quarentine can easily be done in a tub.

Your main issue will be to make sure that the heat source is in the entire cage (usually it will be on one side for that talk to the person at customer service and tell them how you plan to use the cage.
