I think people don't understand just what normal patterns do for ball pythons. The patches of colors (aliens or ghosts) provide a background against the foliage of the African plains. The mesh of dark brown to black provides the illusion of dirt on the ground. This provides the ultimate coverage. That is super cool. You wouldn't find a BEL in the wild... it would not stand a chance out there. To easy to spot. Normals are awesome looking and I am proud to have many of them in my collection.

The one you posted is very cool looking. I love the blushed dorsal stripe.

I agree, a lot of people have no love for Normals anymore. I have three currently, I will never get rid of them, I am far too attached to them.

i love my normal girl most (lol don't tell my other BP's that). she just has the best personality and is a great feeder. she's an explorer, likes to climb and likes to burrow too. i could own a red eye lucy but Elphie would still be my fav. so i have alotta love for all BP's but normals are near and dear to me.

I don't think most morphs bring a whole lot of variety to the table on their own. They're just one little genetic error afterall. All that selective breeding we do to "enhance" a gene is really just picking and choosing different expressions of the normal phenotype when combined with a morph.

    Normals are my favorite!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
