    Herping in November in Michigan

Spent all day and couldn't even find a stinking toad, just don't understand it.

On come on, just dig the ten inches of snow off the pond, crack through the ice, and your bound to find a salamander or something. Maybe. Probably not, lol. Not only am I a little surprised we got so much this early in the season, I'm almost amazed its still here.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

You may have to leave the blind. 4' X 4' is a pretty small search area.

I was just up there for opener of deer season and the first 5 days were so warm, I was afraid of not being able to hang a deer. Of course, as soon as we left the temps dropped and the snow arrived. Sometimes, were it not for bad timing.............
