    mucus but culture negative ?

i have 2500 gram female who has a lot of mucus at times and not so much others since we got her from the expo.
i took her to the vet and she said her breathing sounds okay but gave me baytril injections for the mucus.
after no change she gave us a different ore broad antibiotic. still no change.
this time she did a culture which came out negative for anything .

I'm slightly worried for her health and nervous about pairing her with my others because of her mucus.
theres usually a small amount of bubble near the gums and a decent amount of mucus in the back of her throat.

she almost never refuses a rat tho and has been packing on the weight..
any ideas or suggestions are appreciated

Re: mucus but culture negative ?

    Are there any other signs?

Noises when breathing normally, mucus in the waterbowl or smeared on the inside of the enclosure etc? Does she sit with her head in the air ( with her mouth open slightly ) for extended periods of time?

the odd squeak sound but very rarely, not mucus smeared any where or in the water bowl and she doesn't ever sit with her head in the air or with her mouth open..just bubbles sometimes when i pull her lip down and in the back of her throat when i open her mouth.

    thanks

I'm going to say there is nothing to panic about then.
