I just went upstairs to check on the new Mali, and decided I would get "Jack" my retired breeder mouse out and play with him, he loved riding on my shoulder... apparently, Jack passed very recently, cause he was still warm a bit. I knew it was going to happen soon, but still, I am upset about it. Jack was originally gotten from someone I know to feed off to one of my ball pythons. But I had decided I did not want to feed him off, he was not a regular feeder mouse he was a brown wild mouse (field mouse). A friend of mine found him and his litter mates and Mom in her basement, and she decided to cage them and keep them. (I know, not so good, if its in the wild, it should stay there) He was very tame and friendly. I used Jack for a long time as a male breeder, he and several females produced many litters of mice to feed off, Jack, got retired to live out his life easy afterwards. He will be missed, I got pretty attached to the guy! He died at a ripe age- just around 3 years too.

I'm sorry Jeanne. It's hard to lose even the littlest of animals.

Sorry to hear about that. Sounds like he had a nice, long (in mouse terms), and good life with you.
