Ball python in new home , not wanting to eat right away?

Is it normal for my new ball python, approximately 1yr old to ignore mice, when being fed in a new home?

Yeah it's pretty normal. It's a good idea to limit handling till it's had a few good meals and has settled in. Is the BP new to you, or just a new enclosure?

It's my first BP , new to us today, purchased at a show from a breeder who told us that he was ready to eat, so I picked up 2 small mice at the show .

Since it is new to you and its new home, leave him settle in for a week then try to feed. Just make sure he has fresh water, proper temps and hides. Avoid handling for the week also. If he doesn't eat the first week....repeat and then try to feed again.
