    Breaking news....

We've had a stray cat in our basement for a couple of weeks, and we haven't been able to capture it with a Have-a-Heart trap. I called Animal Control, and when the officer looked behind a ledge with a mirror and flashlight, she found GINGER!!!!! . She's alive!

Our house was built in 1893, with lots of nooks and crannies. Ginger is in between the walls in the plumbing system. I have 2 plumbers trying to get her out now. We'll have to take down 1 wall to get that naughty snake!

Cats can fit in surprisingly small spaces for their size. If they can fit their head into a space, they can fit the rest of their body due to how their clavicles work. This does depend on the cat not being super tubby, though.

Wow! Very glad you found the kitten and your snake before they crossed each other's paths!
