Cypress mulch in a AP T8

Started setting up my T8's last night. Put in about an inch of cypress and set my thermostats. Running about 90% humidity so I'll let them run a coupe days with a door open to get that down. Will it be okay to introduce my snakes in them when I get it down to like 70%?
Also thinking about getting a large plastic tote to store my mulch in so it will dry out a little before I use it, straight out of the bag it's pretty damp is that a good idea?
My BP appears to be going into shed so should I wait until after he sheds to put him into his new cage? Just don't want to put undo stress on him and thought maybe I'd be better off waiting until after he sheds.

I'd just put him in with 90% humidity. It will help him with the shed and the humidity will dissipate within a week.

Re: Cypress mulch in a AP T8

I had the same issue before as well when I first set up my AP T8. I also use cypress mulch as a substrate, and of course, the wonderful T8 did its job by keeping the humidity IN and relatively high (80-90%) for about a week. Luckily my BP was also shedding so it helped him with the process. Fast forward 1 1/2 week later, the temps and humidity settled down ideally and I'm quite sure my BP was a happy camper after completing a whole, perfect shed. You should be fine
