    He finally ate for me

So I've posted before about my Het albino who wouldn't eat for me, so today I put another mouse in his cage. He had me scared at first cause he was moving away, but he finally ate. How many live feedings should I offer before trying F/T?

Congrats. I don't feed FT but when trying to switch from mice to rats, I've tried feeding a slightly smaller mouse followed directly by a smaller sized rat immediately after. Trying to catch them in the mood. It's worked a few times. I've done that for a few feedings in a row, then just the rat. Maybe try that but use the FT as the second course.

Thanx for the advice, I'll give it a try and see how things go. He is my smallest and the first to not take PK or FT, if anything I'll just keep on live.

No problem, its just a thought. I'm not a FT expert by any means. Hope it works

Personally I've never fed live but I have recently got a 650g female to switch to F/T although it did take 3 months, the way you could do it is feed him a few live then switch to fresh killed then move on to F/T, that might make the transition easier for him

If I could just get him to take prekilled that would be fine.

I switched from live to F/T pretty easily, but my ball isn't very picky. I defrost and then make the rat warm/hot with a blowdryer. Then when he struck/wraps around it, I take the rat by the tail or somewhere and shake it while he keeps wrapping so he thinks its alive and he's killing it. Not sure if it will work but it might be worth a try?
