Hot Spot Question - May be silly one but bear with me

    Hey guys,

new to Snake ownership as per my other post but just had a quick question.

I have a MicroClimate B2 Thermostat attached to a Heat Mat with a sensor reading that just under the substrate the temperature is 90f.

I bought another Digital thermometer today (Exo Terra) to register the temps in the Cold Hide - which show as 79/80f

I used the Digital thermometer on the inside of my hot hide and it reads as 81/82f but the sensor just below in the substrate reads 90f

The temperature of the hot hide needs to be 90f throughout or just 90f on the substrate......sorry if this seems like a stupid question.

I need to find out which one of my reading may be incorrect or if its just the heat of the air in the hide which is not at a steady 90f as opposed to the heat of the ground being 90f

The surface temp of 90*F is fine, ambient air temp under the warm side hide is also fine in the low to mid 80's.
