When to move up to a 40 gallon tank

Hey everybody was just curious to when it was a good time to switch to a 40 gallon tank for my bp. He's about a year old and is 650 grams. He's in a 20 gallon currently. His hides look like helmets now and anything bigger will cram up the tank.

Here is a pic of my guy. He is in a 40 gallon. I'm not sure how much he weighs or how old he is but he is comfortable in his.

    Nice set up.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

He can go in a full size tank now.

People always talk about too big of a tank for a smaller BP.

I think that's BS. They thrive in the wild for crying out loud. If he has 2 good hides, he'll be just fine no matter how big the tank is. Especially if it's in a room with nobody walking by constantly he'll feel perfectly secure.

I moved mine into a 36"x18x18 when he was 6 months old and he is completely normal, healthy, happy and growing strong at 11 months old now at about 750 grams.

If it's a male, a 28 qt tub should be good. For adult females, 41 qt should be perfect, bigger is usually better 😅👌
