Well here is my latest and final ( I seriously mean it this time ) herp. It's a 2 month old Monkey Tail Skink (aka Prehensile Tail Skink or Solomon Island Skink). Haven't come up with a name yet. An awesome lizard!
S/he is still small so the cage is temporary and I'm still adding to it. I'm having a custom cage built (3x2x4) to move him/her into in the next few months.

LOL - you're right. If you look closely in that same pic (3rd pic) you can see her claws - they're huge! I wear a sweatshirt when I hold her, but that doesn't protect my hands. I just had her out for a couple of seconds and my hands are all scratched up. She almost looks unreal - like a little alien or fake little rubber toy.

My Boaphile cage and Quest Hides

She does look like an alien! That's funny. Or one of those critters from "Land of the Lost", for those who are old enough to know what I'm talking about. Last addition, eh? I think you mean, "last addition this year."

    Final? Tank Setup

Nah. I really am out of room now. I do have room for another Crested cage or something with similiar floor dimensions (I was thinking about viper geckos or even a Leo, but I dunno). For now I'll put a plant in that spot. Time to invest in cages. We'll see......

Here ya go, a four-lizard enclosure. Plenty of room, now. Hee hee. Viper geckos are pretty cool, or satanic leaf tails. I love the way they look.

Marla! Stop it! I just don't know if I want to deal with more crickets.

The other day I told my boyfriend that I think I have a herp addiction and need a support group. He said "Isn't that what the forums are for?". I said "No, we encourage eachothers addiction!".

LOL! True. Partly, I'm sure, because we kind of get to experience other animals vicariously through each other.
